Chair highlights PBS segment, UW–Madison Rural Livability project and committee membership plan

Chair John Hadley told the committee a business in the Village of Nelson will be highlighted March 26 on PBS on the West Coast of Wisconsin Main Streets show and encouraged communities to use the UW–Madison Rural Livability Project to assess factors that support local livability. Hadley said he forwarded this information to the City of Alma’s tourism commission and city council and recommended other communities receive the materials.
Hadley noted a link to Explore Buffalo County should be added to the county website and said Mr. Michael Taylor will attend an upcoming tourism conference. He also recorded that the newly appointed Economic Development Committee will consist of four county board members and one citizen member. No formal vote was taken on these informational items.
