Committee hears Flyway Trail and County Road OO update; environmental review, public input planned

Mary Anne McMillan Urell reported on recent coordination with the railroad to secure crossing access near County Road P as part of the Flyway Trail work. Administrative Coordinator Lee Engfer said a public involvement meeting was held in February for the County Road OO road project/bike trail and emphasized that, because the project is grant-funded, a state-led environmental impact study will be completed as part of the process.
Engfer said an updated plan will be shared at another public input meeting later this summer before final decisions are made. He also noted the July Ride Across Wisconsin bicycle event will include a stop at Eagle Valley Church in the Town of Cross. No formal action or vote was taken on the Flyway Trail item at the meeting.
