Community Services reports new AOT/EVA hire, crisis‑intervention trainings and ongoing opiate‑settlement audit

Lisa Principio, representing Community Services, said the department offered the Enhanced Coordination AOT/EVA position on Friday and the candidate accepted; the new employee will begin at the end of the month. Principio said the opiate settlement fund audit is still open (additional documents were submitted May 21) and that staff followed up today to check on status.
Principio described training efforts: a three‑day Fundamentals of Crisis Intervention Skills train‑the‑trainer run with three corrections officers, and a two‑day ASSIST suicide‑prevention training with 11 attendees. She also said the county distributed more than 800 mental‑health awareness shirts across the community.
