Attorney Melissa Murray of Norris Murray and Pellequin, who advised the committee during negotiations, introduced herself before the vote and thanked members and Mr. Murphy for their time during the process. The mayor noted Murphy was appointed on Oct. 6 and that the special meeting was called under the committee rules to finalize the contract.
The committee did not take further public statements beyond the single registered comment, and the meeting concluded with routine motions to consider procedural questions and adjourn.
