At the March 12 meeting, Ms. Holbrook reported a March tax-income increase (collected in January) of 21% compared with last year and 12% above budget; year-to-date income was 10% above both last year and budget. The board received these revenue updates during the Treasurer’s Report.
Ms. Calder summarized the Destimetrics indicators, saying last-minute bookings remain common: "Airlines are up 1% from last year and fare sales helped move the needle. Feb closed up 3% YOY. March is 1% ahead." The panel noted winter paid occupancy was flat to the prior year while average daily rate (ADR) was up 5% year over year. These metrics will inform the board's summer marketing and funding choices.
