"Approximately 5 years ago, we started a program or provided a program for our veterans, those that have suffered from service," Ron Epps said, describing the program's growth from four people to roughly 18. The Eppses showed a short video and invited commissioners and first responders to an open house on April 18 to learn about their services.
Barbara Epps gave contact details for people seeking more information, saying attendees could find the program online at equinesforthefrontlines.org and by email at barbara@projecthealingheroes.org. Commissioners thanked the presenters and encouraged the group to continue outreach, noting interest in expanding services to first responders.
