Julie Vollmer presented wage comparisons for 18 of the 20 counties in the countys standard list and recommended setting the Clerk of Court at the 33rd percentile; county administration urged consistency with the Sheriff decision and recommended the 38th percentile. "To be consistent with the Sheriff, this should be the 38th percentile, which would equal a proposed 2027 wage of $83,383," Engfer said. Carol McDonough moved to set the Clerk of Court 2027 wage at $83,383 with a 3.5% lift; McMillan Urell seconded and a roll call vote recorded four yes votes, carrying the motion.
Committee members discussed establishing a protocol for which percentile is used when comparing elected-official wages across the countys standard comparables list.
