Floyd County Prosecutor Chris Lane told the council that a three-week trial for Isaiah Page had depleted several expense lines, and requested $27,000 in additional appropriations across five categories: expert witnesses $9,000; equipment maintenance and repair $4,000; computer supplies $7,000; miscellaneous supplies $3,400; and printing and stationery $3,600. Council member Denise Konkle moved to approve the full $27,000 and the motion carried unanimously.
Lane said the requested amounts were intended to restore the office's operating lines to continue prosecutions without interruption. The allocation will be added to the Prosecutor fund budget as approved at the meeting.
