City Manager Greer presented a short April highlights report that tied recent work to the council’s five strategic priorities. Greer noted new public-art installations at Newtown Park (“JC Paws”) and congratulated the police and community partners for a successful prescription drug take‑back that collected 305 pounds, and the fire department for a CPR/R event with more than 150 participants. Greer also highlighted economic development wins, including a ribbon-cutting for Mizuno’s new center and an announcement that Boehringer Ingelheim will move a U.S. life‑sciences headquarters to the Medley campus, bringing jobs to Johns Creek.
Greer updated the council on parks and trail work, saying the Town Center boardwalk construction is progressing with drone footage posted online and that trail projects on Bryce Road, Rogers Bridge Road and Bell Road remain on schedule to wrap up this summer. Council members asked for additional packet handouts on financials and requested staff recheck barrel placement and safety on the Jones Bridge construction zone. Greer said staff would follow up and provide the requested materials.
