Aspen receives public-works award for Coke Park pedestrian project

"This project, led by the city of Aspen Engineering Department with the exceptional efforts of Tim Carf, Wyatt Young, Jack Denenburg, alongside Excavation Services Inc as their contractor Justin Noon," the presenter said while describing the honor for parks-and-trails work. "The project achievements, several significant milestones, Improved accessibility. By installing ADA compliant sidewalks and ramps, the project created a continuous pedestrian corridor, enhancing connectivity and safety for residents and visitors alike." (award presenter)
Mayor Tory and staff praised the project team and asked residents to visit Coke Park to see the changes. Council members noted the project’s contributions to pedestrian safety and community events, and staff emphasized the project’s alignment with Aspen’s sustainability goals and EV master plan.
