Tonasket School Board approves consent agenda, calendar, insurance and student handbook

The Tonasket School District #404 Board of Directors approved multiple routine items at its Aug. 27 meeting, voting unanimously to adopt the consent agenda and to approve the 2025–26 board calendar, district insurance renewal, and the Student and Family Handbook. Ernesto Cerrillo moved to approve the consent agenda "as presented," and subsequent motions to adopt the calendar and insurance renewal were similarly approved without recorded opposition.
Sharron Cox moved to approve the 2025/26 Student and Family Handbook "as presented," and the board recorded the motion as passing unanimously. The meeting later recessed into a 20-minute executive session to review the performance of a public employee; the session began at 7:40 p.m. and the board returned at 8:20 p.m. No action arising from the executive session was recorded in the minutes.
