The Jerome County Planning & Zoning Commission voted unanimously March 30 to grant Janice Yardley a Special Use Permit for temporary occupancy of an RV on her A1‑zoned parcel at 915 S Eden Rd while she completes renovations to the permanent dwelling. The permit includes Staff Report conditions and ongoing requirements; commissioners added a condition that Yardley remove the wood deck and skirting when the permit period ends.
Yardley told the Commission she has utilities connected and a septic service in place and supplied a notarized letter of permission from the property owner. She explained why the RV is located where it is and that she plans to move into the house once renovations are complete. “The RV is seven feet from the shop because it is the only level area that would not be in the way of farming activities and is close to hook ups,” Yardley said. Staff advised Yardley must secure written Fire District approval for the seven‑foot setback (the District’s standard is 10 feet) and provide plumbing and electrical permit records or a State determination that permits are not required.
