Commission approves final plat for Lake Campbell subdivision (Blocks 7–10)

The Brookings County Planning Commission approved final plat 2026 Plat 002 for Blocks 7–10 of the Brooklyn edition, a subdivision on the west side of Lake Campbell. Richard Rodriguez, county planning staff, told the commission the final blocks exceed the 20,000-square-foot requirement, range from about 1.1 to 1.5 acres, meet non-lakefront setback requirements and will have access from 468th Avenue.
Rodriguez said the plat meets the Brookings County Subdivision Ordinance, the Lake Park Zoning Ordinance and the 2016 Comprehensive Plan for developed lakes. No members of the public testified for or against the plat at the hearing, and the commission recorded a unanimous affirmative vote to approve the final plat.
