The Planning and Zoning Committee met Thursday, March 5, 2026. Chairman Steve Dickey called the meeting to order at 7:51 p.m., and roll call confirmed a quorum of five members: Ryan Moore, Steve Dickey, Norma Meyer, Kevin Walker and Lucas Beaty.
The committee first approved the minutes of its previous meeting on a motion by Norma Meyer, seconded by Lucas Beaty, with all five members voting yes. The meeting’s substantive business consisted of three building-permit requests received that day: an application to create three RV spaces on South Third Street, an application to place a tiny house on property within town limits, and an application to place roll-off containers for sale at 132 North 9th Street. Each permit was moved, seconded and approved unanimously under the conditions noted by the committee.
Jackie Todd told the committee that "Dusty Todd will install a fence around the property and will install pads for the RVs to be placed on," a detail the committee said was part of the conditions for that permit’s approval. All final permits are contingent on meeting the town’s applicable building and RV-park requirements.
The committee adjourned at 8:03 p.m. The meeting record is signed by Steve Dickey, Chairman, and Shirley Herring, Secretary.
