Member Rachel Weinstein thanked colleagues and reflected on marathon pandemic-era meetings, collaborative work with students and community partners, and her intention to continue serving children from another vantage point. Several members, the superintendent and the student representative offered personal tributes noting Weinstein's thoughtfulness, leadership on equity, and emphasis on student well-being.
The committee adopted the resolution and presented the honoree with a formal copy prepared by the executive secretary. Members used the moment to note continuity of district work and to thank Weinstein for her service.
