Roger Venture presented two airport-related lease packages to the council on Aug. 6: a proposed lease with the City of Myrtle Beach for the Whispering Pines driving range parcel and a set of tenant leases for Building 505 at Myrtle Beach Airport.
Venture said the Whispering Pines lease would be for 10 years, restricted to recreational use, and described a proposed annual lease rate in the presentation materials. Regarding Building 505 (a multi-tenant former Air Force building), Venture said tenants would include ramp and ground-service providers and non-profit Civil Air Patrol; he described per-square-foot rates of $8.44 for office space, $6.84 for open bay areas and $3.42 for storage and estimated total first-year rental income of $42,820. Council moved, seconded and approved both the Whispering Pines driving-range lease and the Building 505 leases.
