Tom Roth presented a resolution asking the council to transfer $425,000 from the Buck Creek Watershed fund to Horry County stormwater for an anticipated pipe upgrade project; Roth said bids were in for the work and reported the watershed account held about $810,000. The council moved, seconded and approved the transfer.
After the transfer item, the clerk presented three community-benefit awards: $1,000 to Kind Keeper Inc. for animal food and medication, $1,000 to a high-school cheerleading team for uniforms and equipment, and $2,500 to Beautify Carolina Forest for mowing and median supplies. Council approved the grants by voice vote.
