Faribault County approves 2026 solid waste and recycling hauler licenses

The Faribault County Board unanimously approved the county's 2026 solid waste and recycling hauler licenses during the Jan. 20 meeting.
Prairieland representative Andy Geiger presented solid waste business and the board approved the Hauler License Log for 2026, which lists licensed businesses and the number of vehicles for each. Examples in the log include Waste Management (25 vehicles), B & B Sanitation & Recycling (6 vehicles) and UP Waste Solutions (9 vehicles). Commissioner Bill Groskreutz asked about the license cost and was told the fee is $10 per license.
The licenses were approved by motion and the county will maintain the published Hauler License Log as the official list of licensed providers for 2026.
