Jackson County commissioners approve claims, payroll and 2026 meeting schedule

The Jackson County Board of Commissioners approved routine financial items and the 2026 calendar at its Nov. 18, 2025 meeting. Commissioners voted to approve claims dated Nov. 18, 2025 totaling $311,346.83 and payroll dated Nov. 14, 2025 for $671,887.15. Both motions were made by Commissioner Drew Storey, seconded by Commissioner Andrew Stauffer, and carried on 3-0 votes.
The board also adopted its 2026 meeting schedule (first and third Tuesday each month) and the 2026 holiday schedule. Commissioners approved a change to the December meeting calendar: the Dec. 2 meeting was moved to Dec. 9 at 9:00 a.m., and the Dec. 16 meeting was cancelled. The commission noted that the meeting-date change will not affect December claim-run processing.
