City staff announced changes to Aspen's electric-vehicle charging rates: Level 2 charging will increase to $0.30 per kilowatt-hour and Level 3 (fast charging) to $0.60 per kilowatt-hour. New overstay fees were described: a $0.25-per-minute fee after four hours at Level 2 stations and the same $0.25-per-minute fee after two hours at Level 3 stations to improve station access.
Councilors also highlighted community events and opportunities: the Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club's Euler Fest on Dec. 8; CORES' State of the Climate event on Dec. 11 featuring former Gov. Bill Ritter; and a youth vibrancy fellowship grant opportunity with awards of $750 for eligible young artists. Staff directed residents to aspen.gov for details and licensing and contact info for further assistance.
