Steuben County moves $2.14 million into 2026 road projects including CR84 and CR14

The Commissioner of Finance was directed to decrease Road Improvement Unassigned (51120.6900) by $2,140,000 and increase CR95-Day Road by $15,000; CR87-Hammond-Wayne Road by $275,000; CR84-Squab Hollow-Wileyville Road by $600,000; CR71-Jasper North Jasper Road by $70,000; CR72-Dennis Corners Road by $430,000; and CR14-Campbell Creek-Baker Road by $750,000. The resolution was introduced by N. Pelham and S. Van Etten and adopted by roll call.
County officials said the transfer will not increase the Public Works Department budget but reallocates unassigned road-improvement funds to planned 2026 projects; certified copies were to be forwarded to Public Works and the Commissioner of Finance.
