Ottawa County commissioners approve contracts, vouchers and transfers

The Board of Ottawa County Commissioners unanimously approved a slate of contracts, license renewals and the county voucher report during its March 19 meeting.
Among the actions recorded in the meeting minutes, Commissioner Donald A. Douglas moved and Commissioner Mark E. Coppeler seconded approval of Amendment #3 to the Department of Job and Family Services service contract with the Ottawa County Transportation Agency for $88,000 (covering April 1, 2025–March 31, 2026). The board also authorized a contract with Erie Blacktop, Inc. for 2026 Asphalt Concrete Resurfacing of Various Township Roads – East End in the amount of $483,756.50, approved a Civica annual license renewal and support agreement for $15,551.72 (April 14–Dec. 31, 2026), and approved parts and labor from EPS for four Axis cameras for $4,291.98 to be integrated into the existing Milestone system.
The meeting record shows the Board approved the Ottawa County Voucher Report dated March 18, 2026 in the total amount of $182,778.91 and authorized the County Auditor to issue warrants. All of the motions recorded in the minutes were passed unanimously with Commissioners Mark W. Stahl, Donald A. Douglas and Mark E. Coppeler voting yes. The clerk read the motions into the record: "It was moved by Commissioner Douglas and seconded by Commissioner Coppeler that the minutes of the March 17, 2026 meeting are approved." The voucher reports are available for review in the Auditor's office as noted in the minutes.
The actions were taken on the recommendations of department heads and with approval from the Prosecuting Attorney or County Auditor where required; the minutes list the County Engineer, Prosecuting Attorney, County Auditor and Facilities Superintendent as the recommending or approving officials for specific items. The board also authorized transfers and appropriations requested by Municipal Court and Job and Family Services in the same meeting.
