Planning & Public Works Chair Robert Shea and Ways & Means Chair Elane Daly presented the measure, directing Purchasing and CCPED to prepare an RFP for consultant services and stating the study will be awarded to the best-value bidder. The motion passed but the minutes record one opposing vote (Pecher). Finance was directed to create appropriate expense and revenue accounts to accept the grant and partner funds.
County officials said the study will guide coordinated housing development and that the city’s separate study will contribute data to the countywide effort.
