Athletics report: Kingsburg teams among top GPA performers; Winter Formal ticket sales noted

Athletic Director Scott Hodges told the board that Kingsburg's CIF fall teams placed among the top 25 academic performers out of 125 teams, and provided an overview of athletics staffing and facilities improvements. He reported 125 coaching staff for 2025-26 (a large portion volunteers and returning KHS graduates), 19 athletic programs with 47 teams, and recent facility upgrades; a written report was filed with the district office.
Student Representative Emmanuel Gutierrez reported ASB activity: Winter Formal will carry a "Winter Wonderland" theme, the event is capped at 500 attendees and ASB had sold 300 tickets at the time of the meeting. ASB also plans an all-PJ Week for students and reminded the board that finals are next week.
The athletics and student-activities items were informational and no board action was required; the materials were entered into the district's supporting documents.
