Commissioners ratify collective bargaining agreement with AFSCME for county engineer staff

After a closed executive session on collective bargaining, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted to ratify Collective Bargaining Agreement 2026-45 by and between the Fulton County Engineer and Ohio Council 8, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO and Local 2782. The board recorded a unanimous vote endorsing the ratification.
According to the resolution, the agreement establishes rates of pay, hours of work, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment. The resolution sets the agreement’s effective date as March 1, 2026, with the contract remaining in force through midnight on Feb. 28, 2029. The motion to ratify was moved and seconded on the record and carried 3-0.
