The Fayette County Board of Commissioners on March 30 approved two Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) amendments from Bowen Engineering Corporation for the Rattlesnake Water System Improvements Project Contract A.
The board accepted Phase 4D, described as PAC ductwork and CM general conditions, with a contract price not to exceed $346,795.00, and Phase 5B, for Wilmington air release valve replacements and scope additions, not to exceed $386,618.04. The amendments were presented as the best value received in the bid event under the CMAR agreement; both measures passed on roll call with Commissioners James D. Garland, Tony Anderson and Donald L. Fleak voting aye.
The county record notes the board reviewed Bowen Engineering's response to the bid event and referenced CMAR agreement section 2.2.3.1.4 in determining best value. The amendments are part of the larger Rattlesnake Water System Improvements work identified as Contract A; the complete amendments were filed with county records.
