Measure Z oversight panel reports clean audit and progress on Westfield and Elkhorn projects

The Measure Z Citizens Bond Oversight Committee presented its FY24–25 audit to the board and said auditors issued an unmodified opinion with no findings. A committee presenter summarized the audit work and the committee’s responsibilities, saying the auditor "found that there were no issues" and that staff were cooperative in supplying documents and responses.
Committee members described progress at the Westfield campus and the Elkhorn Village project and said construction sequencing has been organized to minimize student downtime. The committee encouraged residents to apply to serve and explained term limits and member composition, noting a need for business, senior-citizen and taxpayer representatives. Trustees asked questions about committee composition and applauded the progress on Elkhorn’s site work.
The committee also previewed the district’s long-planned River City performing arts center as the remaining major Measure Z project and said construction should benefit students across the district when completed.
