Judge Kennedy presented the Family Court’s 2025 budget during the Nov. 12 meeting, requesting two hires to replace staff retiring in 2025 and noting operational changes tied to a 4D contract with the State of Ohio through Job and Family Services Child Support Enforcement Agency.
Judge Kennedy said part of a bailiff’s salary will be reimbursed under the 4D contract and estimated that eight months of revenue from that contract will return $229,978.08 to the county general fund. The court also described plans to add a dedicated bailiff for the magistrate, move toward e-filing and place a recently received BCI fingerprint machine in the Juvenile Division to ensure juveniles are fingerprinted before transfer to detention centers.
