The St. Helena Parish Police Jury approved several road and drainage actions at its May 26 meeting. Jurors unanimously approved purchase and replacement of two 72" x 40" culverts on Robertson & Jyles Road in Road District No. 1 at a total cost of $21,700.00. The Jury also authorized weekend work for road maintenance, drainage cleaning and improvement projects on a recommended list of roads and voted to move forward with the Eden Road project.
Separately, the Jury rescinded a previous action to reopen Sand Hill Road and authorized its re-closure. All road-related motions were carried unanimously among jurors present, and the minutes record these as formal actions for Road District No. 1 and broader parish maintenance activity.
