Troup County schedules public hearing for FY27 budget first reading this evening

"This evening, we've got ... the 1st reading of the FY 27 budget proposal," the Commissioner said while outlining the meeting flow, noting an invocation by David Paisley of Reach Chapel Baptist Church and a special business item to consider accepting the USDA Georgia facilities grant. The Commissioner said commissioners will discuss the budget later in the evening and invited the public hearing process to proceed as scheduled.
The notice to the public included the first reading of the FY27 budget; staff and commissioners indicated they would take up detailed budget discussion at the evening session. No formal board action on the budget occurred during the morning work session.
