Fayette County accepts $23,102 ODOT airport matching grant for AWOS project

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners accepted terms of the Fiscal Year 2026 Ohio Airport Matching Grant Program award from the Ohio Department of Transportation, Office of Aviation, in the amount of $23,102.00 at the April 6 meeting. The grant will be applied to FAA Grant Project 3-39-0086-020-2025 for design and construction work to rehabilitate, replace or relocate the Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) at the Fayette County Airport.
“It was moved by Mr. Anderson and seconded by Mr. Fleak to accept the terms of the grant award for Fiscal Year 2026 Ohio Airport Matching Grant Program awarded by the Ohio Department of Transportation, Office of Aviation in the amount of $23,102.00 for use at the Fayette County Airport. The grant funds shall be used for the following FAA Grant Project: 3-39- 0086-020-2025, Rehabilitate/Replace/Relocate AWOS - Design and Construct at the Fayette County Airport. (Entire grant agreement on file). Roll call: Mr. Garland, aye; Mr. Anderson, aye; Mr. Fleak, aye. Motion carried.”
The board recorded acceptance of the grant and the clerk noted the full grant agreement is on file for reference.
