Board adopts multiple board policy and administrative regulation updates
Summary
The Seeley Union School District Board adopted a number of new, revised, updated or deleted policies and administrative regulations listed on the CSBA Policy Guide Sheet, including items on inventories, professional standards, suspension/expulsion, freedom of speech/expression, physical education, graduation requirements, and education for homeless and foster youth.
At the April 14 meeting the board adopted or deleted a wide set of policy and regulation items from the CSBA Policy Guide Sheet. The minutes list specific policies and administrative regulations by code (for example, Administrative Regulation 3440; Board Policy 4119.21/4219.21/4319.21; Board Policy 5144.1 and Administrative Regulation 5144.1; Board Policy 5145.2 and Administrative Regulation 5145.2; Board Policy 6142.7 and Administrative Regulation 6142.7; and multiple 6173-series policies addressing homeless children and foster youth).
The motion to adopt the listed policy items was moved by Trustee P. Burton, seconded by Trustee J. Garcia and carried 4-0. The minutes do not include the full text of the policies or summaries of each change; the list in the minutes serves as the board's public record of adoption or deletion for the items on the CSBA sheet.
