Committee approves 911 maintenance contracts, tower easement amendment and rescinds Verizon tower rental
Summary

The Public Safety Committee approved a contract with Wilmac Technologies for NICE equipment software maintenance not to exceed $38,445 (effective June 1, 2026–May 31, 2029) and a contract with Vertiv Corporation to replace UPS batteries for the county’s 911 infrastructure not to exceed $8,614.17 (effective April 14–Dec.31, 2026). Both motions carried with seven ayes and were recorded for resolution.
The committee also approved an Easement Amendment with the Village of Arcade and Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation to allow public-safety infrastructure on the tower site at 300 Park Street, Arcade, at no cost to the county; the County Attorney reviewed and approved the agreement. Separately, the committee rescinded Resolution #25-461 (a five-year Verizon tower-space rental with a minimum annual payment of $18,000) because Verizon was not comfortable with the original deed wording; that rescission was carried with seven ayes.
