In a Finance update, Marsh said the town continues contributing to reserves and capital funds, expects a smaller deficit than in prior years but still plans to shore up capital and reserves in next year’s budget, and noted ambulance revenue has recovered. Marsh said he is taking steps to leave the town’s finances in reasonable order for the incoming manager.
On transition planning, the board discussed a public welcome picnic for incoming Town Manager Trevor Lashua on Monday, June 15, 4–7 p.m. at the fairgrounds (with an indoor backup location at the Rec Center). Marsh said he and Lashua would coordinate outreach so residents can meet the new manager. Marsh also reported about $8,000 in overnight damage to a police cruiser; the minutes record the amount and that the incident occurred during an overnight shift.
