Commissioners approve $16,000 RLF waiver for asbestos and Phase I studies at two properties

Miller also requested that the county waive RLF restrictions to allow the land bank to pay for asbestos inspections and Phase I environmental studies at two properties: the Swanton Elks building and the Old Wauseon Hotel. He said each property’s assessment would cost about $8,000, "so it would be a $16,000 waiver out of the RLF to the land bank to pay for those." Commissioners adopted Resolution 2026-312 to file the RLF waiver request with the Ohio Department of Development; the motion passed 2-0.
