Public Works Administrator Tim Eisenbarth presented four bids for the St. Marys EMS building. The low base bid was from Schultz Construction at $320,250; other bids listed in the tabulation were Riley Construction $322,286.60, Carley Construction $333,796, and BHS Construction $458,156.
Eisenbarth recommended awarding the base bid to Schultz Construction. Commissioner Merl Page moved to award the base bid to Schultz Construction, Commissioner Bill Drew seconded, and the motion carried 5-0. The board discussed an alternate scope for the driving area around the building; Eisenbarth said that work would be bid separately and was not part of the motion to award the base contract.
The minutes record the approved base award and the intention to separately bid the driving area; no change orders or financing details for the project were recorded in the meeting minutes.
