Troup County considers repaying internal SPLOST borrowings, freeing roughly $23M for CIP

Staff clarified that repaying the internal loan is a procedural action that could be done incrementally and that no formal resolution was adopted at the work session; the county manager said he would bring a resolution for consideration in the near term if the board wishes to forgive the internal debt to itself. Commissioners asked staff to consider retaining recreation‑designated SPLOST funds in future SPLOST planning and to provide project lists and cost estimates for any proposed matches.
