The Stephens County Board of Commissioners approved a quote from Virtru and authorized the 911 director to sign the contract for encrypted transmission of NCIC criminal-history, license and tag information to field investigators. "Virtru is an encryption software we utilize to email NCIC criminal history, license, and tag information investigators in the field," the staff member said, noting funds are budgeted for the expense.
