Drehmel reappointed board president; Bauman named clerk and county rep

Trustees voted on officer roles and committee representatives for 2026 at the Dec. 15 meeting. On a motion from Trustee Lisa Bauman, seconded by Trustee Colin Foulke, the Board voted 4-0-1 to reappoint Deborah Drehmel as Board President. A separate motion, moved by Drehmel and seconded by Trustee Jonna Thomas, approved Lisa Bauman as Board Clerk by the same 4-0-1 margin.
Trustee Olivia Leon was designated as the Representative to the English Learners Advisory Committee with Trustee Thomas as alternate; Trustee Drehmel will serve as the district representative to the Sebastopol Education Foundation with Thomas as alternate. The Board also approved Bauman as the Representative to the Sonoma County Trustees' Association with alternates to be named as needed. Minutes record the votes as 4-0-1 for the officer and representative motions; Olivia Leon is listed as absent in the roll call.
