The Stephens County Plan Commission recommended a temporary conditional-use permit on July 1 for a vehicle storage area at 3231 Highway 145 to be used by WW Customs Auto Sales as overflow for roughly 30 classic vehicles.
Theresa Vincent, representing WW Customs, described their work restoring vintage cars and said the proposed site would "not be an active sales location. There would be no signage, no increase in public traffic, and no disruption to the surrounding area," and pledged to install fencing and visual buffers. Staff recommended temporary approval through Dec. 31, 2026, contingent on a screening fence and coordination with the marshal’s office while the business seeks a permanent commercial solution.
Supporters — including family members who described business growth and the effort to keep the site tidy — urged flexibility while the business stabilizes. An adjacent property owner who identified themself as the complaining party said the property is currently in violation of county ordinance and described visual impacts and health concerns; they urged enforcement rather than approval. Commissioners asked about the timeline for fencing and about whether the stored vehicles were restorable rather than junk. The commission adopted the staff recommendation and voted to forward the recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners for final determination.
