At the May 5 meeting, the board voted to recess into a 15-minute executive session under the attorney-client privilege exception to the Kansas Open Meetings Act to discuss potential litigation. Commissioners listed attendees beyond the board: Scott Brown, Bill Jeter and Darren Myers. When open session resumed, a commissioner stated no decisions were made.
Later the board voted to recess into a 60-minute executive session, again citing the attorney-client privilege exception, to discuss a potential solar project. In addition to commissioners, attendees listed for that session included Trish Bowes with Folston, Justin Craig, Bill Jeter and Darren Myers. The meeting then adjourned after the announced return time.
