A fire department representative (S12) told the board the department seeks approval to purchase five refurbished Lifepak 15 monitors to equip stations that do not yet have the state‑required monitors for vehicles with ANI kits. "The total cost for purchase is $74,750 and we plan on using our EMS funding for this acquisition," the representative said.
Staff said four stations already have the ANI kit and monitors; the purchase would equip several additional stations and leave one monitor for training and one as a spare. The monitors are refurbished and cost roughly one‑third of a new unit, according to staff. Commissioners asked about the expected life of the refurbished monitors and the county representative said she would have battery/life information available for the evening meeting when formal approval is requested.
