County Administrator Chad Kinsley briefed the board that county offices will be closed July 3 and the landfill July 4, and updated the board on next steps for the possible Green Valley incorporation.
Kinsley said he was waiting on revisions from Civium and that the estimated cost for an advisory election is $4,000; he added a related survey was estimated at $12,000 and that the incorporation effort would require a year commitment. The minutes do not break out what the $4,000 covers (staff time, ballots, or other costs) nor identify funding sources.
Kinsley’s remarks were informational and the board did not take a formal vote on funding the election or survey during the June 29 meeting.
