The county approved a conditional-use permit for a 320-foot guyed cellular tower on May 4. Zoning Administrator Josh Falk presented CUP #720, filed by Tillman Infrastructure, LLC as agent for Patrick Erwin. Patrick Erwin joined the meeting and confirmed the permit includes reserving space for Wabaunsee County Emergency Services to co-locate on the tower.
The site was described as being on a quarter section at the southeast corner of the county near Burlingame. The board adopted Resolution 2026-19 to authorize the tower (motion Davis; second Hier), and the motion carried 3-0. No permits or co-location agreements beyond the CUP were recorded in the minutes for that meeting.
