Wabaunsee County commissioners were told on May 4 that the countyreceived a clean audit for its 2025 financial statements. April Swartz, an auditor with Varney & Associates CPAs LLC, presented the audit and told the board there were "no findings for 2025," and that the audit has been filed with the State.
Swartz reviewed each section of the audit document with the commissioners during the meeting. Commissioners did not record any follow-up actions during the presentation. The clean finding means the county's basic financial statements and related reports require no corrective action for the 2025 fiscal year and will remain part of the county's official public record.
