The Board of Supervisors of Black Hawk County voted unanimously July 28 to adopt a resolution authorizing the County Auditor to issue payments on a broad slate of claims across county funds. The motion to adopt the resolution was moved by Supervisor Ritch Kurtenbach and seconded by Supervisor Tavis Hall; AYES were Brandt, Hall, Kurtenbach, Schwartz and Laylin.
The adopted text of the resolution reads in part, "BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Black Hawk County, that the Board of Supervisors APPROVE EXPENDITURES, and that the County Auditor be authorized and directed to ISSUE PAYMENTS, against the various settlements of such claims as allowed." The claims list presented to the Board included payments across General Basic, Secondary Roads, jail commissary and other funds, with notable line items such as a $40,000 services entry to "DOC," Office Concepts equipment for $13,292.16, and Perform Res Consult services totaling $80,700.00.
The resolution covered claims shown in multiple ledger sections presented during the consent process. The board recorded the procedural minutes and approved them during the same session.
