Airport Manager Mark Witsoe reported on ongoing operational work at the Napa County Airport, telling commissioners that visual-approach consultants have scheduled public engagement likely in September and October and that a preferred option may be ready for FAA consideration in the fourth quarter after community feedback and direction from supervisors. He said the County will procure a new website for community input and engagement.
Witsoe also said a camera at gate 4 is operational and staff have observed vehicles not waiting at the gate for it to close; staff will follow up with identifiable vehicles. He reminded tenants that hangars may not be used for non-aviation personal storage, non-airworthy aircraft, or unapproved improvements; staff will work with tenants over the next two months to bring noncompliant hangars into compliance and will apply the same compliance period to aircraft not registered to the tenant and tenants without current certificates of insurance on file.
