Staff report: WLIA award, conferences and NG911 grant updates
Summary
Staff reported a first-place win in WLIA's interactive mapping competition for the county Comprehensive Plan Story Map, noted upcoming staff attendance at WCCA, and updated the committee on NG911 grant activity and parcel-fabric work.
The department reported several informational items at the March 12 meeting. Meuer said Max and Andy attended and presented at the Wisconsin Land Information Association (WLIA) conference; Max’s submission of the county’s Comprehensive Plan Story Map took first place in WLIA’s interactive mapping competition. Meuer also reported that Brian, Doug and Chris will attend the Wisconsin County Code Administrators conference March 18–20.
GIS and related program updates were discussed: staff noted work on the parcel fabric, an NG911 grant, and other GIS items. Program and administrative updates included permitting-system progress and the household hazardous waste program. Staff members Depies, Halada and Bonlander provided routine updates; no committee motions were associated with these reports.
