Resident says Leafy Spurge is "out of control" on state highways; alleges contractors lack chemicals

Brent Johnson addressed the Ward County Weed Control Board during public comment and said he had photographed extensive Leafy Spurge infestations along state highways. He told the board he was "of the mind that the problem is out of control," and asked for attention to roadside infestations.

Johnson also said he had spoken with Wollschlager Spraying and alleged they were not receiving enough chemical and had not been instructed properly where to spray. He expressed skepticism that the scheduled helicopter spraying would occur during the planned June window because, he said, Dakota Helicopter told him they would be working on a large contract in South Dakota during that period.
