Kelly Haugan, Director of Emergency Management, asked the commission to approve an emergency declaration for the City of Sawyer to remove storm-downed trees. Commissioners voted to authorize the Highway Department to perform the tree removal using emergency funds; the motion passed on a roll call vote.
The commission also moved to have the Chairman sign the Emergency Declaration and to use designated emergency funding for the work. The motions passed unanimously, and the action allows county crews to begin removal under the emergency fund approval.
